# $ whoami --verbose

Software engineer, currently an SRE at Blinkit.

On weekends, i try to read and build random stuff.

# $ history | grep -i work

  • Blinkit 2020 – present

    • Site Reliability Engineer 2023 – present - managing Kafka and Postgres, building platform tools.
    • Software Engineer, Supply Chain (Warehouse) 2020 – 2023 - building microservices for warehouse operations.
  • MyAdvo 2017 – 2020

    • Software Engineer 2017 – 2020 - my first startup out of college. Built a lot from scratch and learned along the way: Django, Postgres, Celery, scraping and mining legal datasets across India, and managing cloud infrastructure.
  • ISRO Summer 2015

    • Software Engineer Intern Summer 2015 - a brief internship. Spent most of the time on learning how to build Android apps

# $ history | grep -i college

I used to do competitive programming in college - CodeChef, HackerRank, Codeforces. Also participated in ACM ICPC regionals in 2015 (Amritapuri, India).

Then i got hooked on Linux and open source, and started building random things on GitHub for fun.

Studied Computer Science at MBM Engineering College, Jodhpur, graduated in 2017.

# $ ls ~/projects/  # few of my side projects - bespoke hand written code before LLM happened

  • notes-cli

daily markdown notes on the terminal, synced to a GitHub gist (your free remote DB).

  • go-fileserver

share files over WiFi via QR code.

  • magrrite

generate ASCII art from any image.

  • market-watch

a PWA for live market indices. Built during COVID in 2021, when Google stopped showing the NIFTY index on search for a few weeks; I wanted all the indices in one place.

  • Pickup-line

terrible pickup lines in your terminal. A silly CLI I built back in college.

rest of my work on github →
